Presented several years ago at a Canadian Oncology Conference evaluating the compatibility and stability of oxaliplatin and leucovorin (specifically a brand containing the excipient trometamol). Some leucovorin formulations contain trometamol for isotonicity, but all of our monographs for oxaliplatin and leucovorin indicate that they should NOT be mixed in the same bag or administered by Y-site if leucovorin contains trometamol. Our study supports administering the two drugs by Y-site for up to 180 minutes with no degradation of oxaliplatin.
